Pick Six: Warriors will repeat over outgunned Cavs
Saigon’s premier Basketball journalist Harry Hodge gives us a preview of the upcoming NBA playoffs between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. You can get Sport in Saigon the low down on where to watch NBA playoff games in Saigon over here…
LeBron James and his Cavaliers have enjoyed a dream postseason leading up to a rematch with the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals. Too bad it’ll be the same nightmare ending as last year.
Love him or hate him, LeBron put the injury-plagued Cavs on his broad shoulders and was able to eke out at least two wins before succumbing to the Warriors, who enjoyed a Finals MVP performance from Andre Iguoadala to bring the title to the Bay Area. And while King James put on a display breezing through the first two rounds of the Eastern Conference Playoffs and dispatched the Toronto Raptors in six games, the West is Best in the NBA.
Many are saying the true finals was the seven-game classic Western Final between the Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder. League MVP Stephen Curry came up clutch in that series, and no offence to the Cavs, but that the Thunder will definitely prove to be Golden State’s biggest test this year.
Between Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, there’s a reason this team set a regular-season record with 73 wins. Expect James and Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving and the rest to hang with Curry and co. for six, just like last year, injuries or not. Regardless, Yogi Berra said it best: “It’s déjà vu all over again.”
Thanks to the Hodge dude! Seems he’s not alone in his predictions:
