Broncos, Pats highlight Week 15
Only three weeks left in the season and the race for playoff spots is heating up!
The most obvious matchup to focus on is the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos. Both have set the standard for success in the AFC for years, but also both are missing some prominent starters in recent weeks, notably Pats tight end Rob Gronkowski and Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian. Siemian is listed as questionable for this weekend, so rookie Paxton Lynch may be run ragged by a stout Patriots defensive front.
Speaking of defence, this was what won the Super Bowl last year for Denver, considering former star Peyton Manning was a virtual non-factor in the league’s title game. Von Miller, DeMarcus Ware and the rest of the Denver D will be keying on New England legend Tom Brady, but dismissing running back LeGarrette Blount would be unwise. Blount is over 1,000 yards on the ground this season, as well as taking it to the house 13 times. Receiver Julian Edelman and tight end Martellus Bennett give Brady plenty of targets as well, although any fan of pro football will miss what Gronk brings to every game.
